Our Honorees

Impact Award Honorees: Pink’s Hot Dogs owners, Gloria & Richard Pink, and Beverly Pink-Wolfe
Pink’s Hot Dogs is a legendary Los Angeles institution that began in 1939 when Paul and Betty Pink started selling 10-cent chili dogs from a pushcart near Melrose and La Brea.
In 1946, they built the now-famous stand, serving “stretch” hot dogs known for their signature snap. Located near Hollywood studios, Pink’s attracted celebrities and inspired a “Wall of Fame” with over 200 autographed photos. In 1985, second-generation owners Richard, Gloria and Beverly Pink expanded the menu to 40 hot dog varieties and over a dozen burgers.
The Pink family is known for its philanthropic endeavors by selling “Chili Dogs for Charity” and was honored when the LA City Council recently dedicated the corner of La Brea & Melrose as “Pink’s Square.”
Pink’s was recently named the #1 Hot Dog Stand in the U.S. by Fodor’s. But to the Pink family, it is still just “The Little Hot Dog Stand that Could.”

Our Impact
The JVS SoCal Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) is proud to assist women experiencing career crisis and transition. Thanks to the JVS SoCal programs we support, we are uniquely positioned to help women through this time and see them on the road to recovery.
Since its founding in 2008, the WLN has raised over $7 million to provide free mentoring, career training and job placement support to tens of thousands of women participating in JVS SoCal programs across Los Angeles and Southern California. We are able to do this with the support of our members and sponsors of our annual Woman to Woman Conference.
