America’s Job Center of California (Veterans AJCC) at Bob Hope Hall

The Veterans AJCC is committed to assisting Veterans re-enter the civilian workforce and achieve a competitive edge in the labor market through a combination of education, training, career counseling, and supportive services. Veterans get premier, specialized, attentive services via a dedicated AJCC site staffed with Veterans distinctly qualified to meet the unique needs of those who have served our country.

In partnership with the L.A. County Department of Mental Health, the Veteran Peer Access Network (VPAN), connects Veterans, regardless of discharge status, and their family members to community resources.

Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP)

HVRP provides employment and training services to assist homeless veterans find meaningful employment and help address complex problems facing homeless veterans. The program is employment-focused and homeless veterans get customized employment and training services to assist in a successful transition into the labor force.

Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF)

The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program is designed to provide supportive services to low-income veteran families at risk or experiencing homelessness by helping families secure stable housing and prevent them from becoming permanently homeless. The program offers services such as case management, temporary financial assistance, housing counseling, and referrals to community resources for employment/ training services or assistance with benefits.

Veterans and Spouse Transitional Assistance (VSTA)

The VSTA program helps us serve Veterans, reservists, and their spouses who are struggling with transition back to civilian life by providing employment, healthcare, housing, childcare, and transportation assistance

Los Angeles Veterans Technology Training Academy

Los Angeles Veterans Technology Training Academy (LAVTTA) is a FREE full-time, 16-week, training program that includes a solid technical foundation and uses practical, hands-on exercises, virtual labs, and includes access to earn certifications in Microsoft Azure.

The Veteran Peer Access Network (VPAN), is the first ever community-driven support network serving Veterans and their families in the U.S., connecting Veterans, regardless of discharge status, and their family members to community resources.

The network embodies the #YouMatter ideal – that veterans & their families deserve hope, well-being and a greater quality of life as valued members of the L.A. County community. Additional VPAN information is also available at the LA County Veteran’s Services website.  Those interested in volunteering for the Veteran and Military Support Line can start by completing this questionnaire.

As a grantee under the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Supportive Services for Veteran Families, our program is 100 percent funded through an award totaling $3,675,000.
