ImagingWorks expands paid clinical training program with five new locations in Southern California

*Los Angeles, CA – November 6, 2024* – ImagingWorks, a pioneering medical imaging training initiative by JVS SoCal, has announced the expansion of its 11-week clinical training program in diagnostic medical imaging with five new locations across Southern California. ImagingWorks prepares participants for high-demand roles as DEXA (dual-energy X-Ray absorpitometry) technicians, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) tech aides and patient service representatives.

In addition to online learning, the program offers innovative on-the-job training thanks to our clinical partner RadNet, and is now approved for locations in Glendale, Northridge, San Jacinto, Ventura, and Victorville. These clinical sites are an exciting addition to existing locations in Arcadia, Beverly Hills, Lakewood, Lancaster, Murietta, Orange, Palm Springs, Pasadena, Rancho Mirage, Riverside, Tarzana, Thousand Oaks, and Temecula.

Each of these new sites will offer participants hands-on experience in real clinical environments, complemented by an hourly wage during training. The curriculum is designed to equip trainees with essential skills in patient care, medical imaging procedures, and MR safety. The training prepares participants for California’s DEXA certification exam, creating career pathways for those interested in diagnostic medical imaging careers.

“Expanding to these new locations makes our program more accessible to Southern California’s diverse communities, enabling more people to enter the healthcare field with the right training and support to succeed long-term,” said a spokesperson for ImagingWorks. “Through this program, participants not only gain clinical skills but also career-building support and certification readiness.”

Supported by the Berger Family Foundation and our clinical partner RadNet, the ImagingWorks program is part of JVS SoCal’s broader mission to enhance career opportunities for underrepresented groups in healthcare. This expansion brings ImagingWorks one step closer to meeting the growing demand for qualified healthcare professionals in the region.
