Los Angeles – Veterans in Southern California seeking employment services through JVS SoCal’s workforce development programs will gain access and insight into Heroes Linked®, an innovative online platform which facilitates one-on-one connections between Veterans and volunteer advisors to help advance their careers.
JVS SoCal’s partnership with the Military and Veterans Appreciation Trust Foundation (MVAT) will expand access to employment opportunities, leadership training, and mentoring relationships for those serving, Veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star Families.
“With Heroes Linked® as a resource, our clients will have another tool they can leverage to pursue their career goals,” says John Gutierrez, Director of Workforce Development and Veteran Services. “Our team of experts will also serve as Advisors within the network, making the partnership between JVS SoCal and Heroes Linked mutually beneficial.”
“By joining forces together, Heroes Linked and JVS SoCal will increase access to Veterans across the nation to Southern California’s talent and veteran friendly employers,” says James Colbert, Executive Director of the MVAT Foundation. “Our platform also features a job board, a national Yellow Ribbon university directory, and an extensive listing of other organizations providing free services.
Heroes Linked® features over 400 volunteer advisors throughout the country, but invites both civilian and veteran career professionals, HR teams, and veteran friendly employers to join and support the network’s 5,000 heroes.
