JVS SoCal has compiled a list of resources available to anyone impacted by the fires, or those looking to help.


Shelter Locations

  • El Camino Real Charter High School: 5540 Valley Circle Blvd, Woodland Hills 
  • Westwood Recreation Center: 1350 S Sepulveda Blvd Los Angeles  
  • Sepulveda Recreation Center: 8825 Kester Ave. Panorama City 
  • Ritchie Valens Recreation Center: 10736 Laurel Canyon Blvd Pacoima 
  • Pasadena Convention Center: 300 E Green St, Pasadena
  • The Hotel Association of Los Angeles has compiled a list of hotels offering discounted rates for displaced individuals. Please click here to view the list.

  • Airbnb, with assistance of 211 LA, is offering temporary housing to those affected.
  • Planet Fitness is providing people free access to locker rooms, showers, HydroMassage loungers, electrical outlets and Wi-Fi, regardless of membership status. The offer is valid until Jan. 15 at Planet Fitness locations across Los Angeles County that the wildfires haven’t impacted.

  • LA County Resources for Emergencies: For LA County residents, visit https://lacounty.gov/emergency/ for real-time emergency updates, resources, and evacuation instructions.

Food Resources

  • Shake Shack is offering evacuees & first responders free Shackburgers at any location across the county. The deal will be valid until Sunday, January 12, 2025.
  • Sizzler locations in Van Nuys, Los Feliz, Palmdale and Fox Hills are offering free meals to first responders and evacuees.

Other Needs

  • JFEDLA Community Call Line: For assistance, call (855) JFED-HLP
  • Mutual Aid LA Network: includes an easy-access list of information sites, housing, and animal shelters: www.tiny.cc/malan-fire
  • Jewish Free Loan Association (JFLA)Offering zero-interest, zero-fee emergency loans of up to $15,000 for essential expenses, such as temporary housing, food, medical costs, and more. Loans of up to $2,000 are available without guarantors.  Apply Now: JFLA Emergency Loan Application
  • Bet Tzedek Legal Services offers free and low-cost legal services. Community members impacted by the fires can call Jessica Ayon at (661) 425-9509 
  • Chai Lifeline West Coast’s Crisis Team is providing vital support, counseling, and resources for families during this challenging time. Anyone needing assistance can contact our office at (310) 274-6331

Price Gouging Information & Reporting

  • State of California Department of Justice: Report incidents of price gouging during an emergency.

Volunteering / Donations

  • The Anderson Munger Family YMCA and the Koreatown YMCA Center for Community Well-being
    • Both locations are accepting essential donations items for victims, including unopened food — bread, jam and canned goods — clothing, blankets, emergency supplies and dog and cat food.
    • Donations can be dropped off at the Anderson Munger Family YMCA, 4301 W. 3rd St. in Los Angeles, doors close at 10:00 PM; and at the Koreatown YMCA, 433 S. Vermont Ave. in Los Angeles, doors close at 7:00 PM
  • The Bike Oven is currently open as a drop-off location for supplies for those dealing with the Eaton fire. You can donate basic hygiene products, toiletries, N95 masks or respirators, pet food, power banks, batteries, blankets, and sleeping bags. Items can be dropped off at 3706 N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles 90065
  • All Power Books is collecting donations including shelf stable, ready to eat food (canned soup, granola bars, dried fruit), bottled water, N95/K95 masks, saline nasal spray, blankets, basic hygiene and toiletry products and pet food. Donations can be dropped off between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. at 4749 W Adams Boulevard, Los Angeles 90016.
  • Los Angeles Regional Food Bank Food donations are being accepted between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM at two distribution centers: 1734 East 41st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90058 and 2300 Pellissier Place, Industry, CA 90601.

  • Pasadena Humane Donations are needed for food and water bowls, extra-large crates and blankets for the more than 100 animals they have taken in for emergency boarding amid wildfire evacuations. The Pasadena Humane society is also seeking people willing to foster animals, especially larger dogs, amid the emergency. Find more information on how to help here.
